it's the great pumpkin, charlie brown

I am not a Halloween person. It probably has to do with the fact that I was sick for almost every Halloween as kid, and I'm not big on candy. I do, however, love fall and all that this season has to offer. While Texas may not have a fall season, which is seriously disappointing, I can make all things pumpkin!
Pumpkin Recipes
I have quite a collection of pumpkin recipes on pinterest. Here are a few I'm dying to make, and one that is a fall staple!

Top, L to R:
Pumpkin Spice Milkshake - This is for those of us who are still experiencing warm weather. It also has a secret ingredient to making an amazing fall inspired milkshake.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Muffins - My absolute favorite! I've made these every year for the past 3 years. They are the best. Here is a recipe for a skinny version.

Pumpkin Nutella Bread - Pumpkin and Nutella. Need I say more.

Bottom, L to R:
Pumpkin Butter - I love apple butter, so I definitely need to try this.

Pumpkin Cornbread - Is there anyone who doesn't love cornbread?? Adding pumpkin is an unexpected and interesting addition.

Pumpkin Cobbler - I'm a fan of cobblers. While blackberry and peach are usually my faves, this pumpkin one gives it a great twist.

Do you have any pumpkin recipe staples?

year 3

photo bridal-breakfast-20_zpsbbbcb8e7.jpgSomehow my blog turning 3 just passed me by. It officially happened October 1st. I knew it was coming up, but with working from home days and dates don't mean much. I work most days, even if it's just for half an hour. I still wanted to take a moment and realize the milestone. Three years is a good chunk of time and it went by in a flash! Thank you for following along, whether for all 3 years or if you just started today. You guys are the best!

Any books you recommend??

Infinity Chunky Sweater Scarf from Piperlime
Nancy Studs from Stella & Dot

Color Crush: hunter green

So it's pretty much Saturday at this point, sorry for being so late you guys. Anyway, this week's Friday's Fancies is about the color you're crushing on. Right now, I'm crushing on hunter green. It's a little bit harder to find, but it's just a beautiful as the berry, burgandy, and navy of this fall season. This outfit also proves how much I want to wear a sweater, but being in Texas means I'll have to wait about another month for it to get below 85 degrees. Hope those out there in colder climates are enjoying the sweater weather!

This outfit includes:
Barbour Beckwith Sweater from Madewell
Quilted Puffer Vest from J.Crew Factory
Cropped Trousers from Zara
Horrigan by Hudson from Piperlime
Legacy Duffle in Pebbled Leather from Coach
Zora Crystal Necklace from Stella & Dot
Butter London Polish in Queen Vic from Ulta

Hope you're having a great weekend!
