friday's fancies #11

4.27.2012

This week's theme is all about date night, whether going out on the town or having a girl's night in.
I chose to create an outfit for a girl's night. Wine, pizza, movies, and friends...what could be better than that?
staying in with friends

I'm in love with that nail polish color. So pretty, right?
Moccasins are the best. I have a pair just like the ones above and I wear them all the time.
Midnight in Paris. Anyone seen it? I finally have it via netflix, still need to watch it though.
I actually have friends who have never seen When Harry Met Sally..., which is crazy I tell ya! :)

tulip fest

4.25.2012

Tulips are definitely a favorite of mine. When I realized that the Tulip Fest in Woodburn, OR was still going on, I just had to go! I'm so glad I did, cause it was amazing seeing an entire field of them.

My favorites were the pink and orange tulips in the second photo. They are seriously gorgeous!

Hope all of you are having a great week!

This week we're invited to a picnic, well a pretend one anyway. Actually, I bought a picnic blanket today at Target! I didn't plan this, promise. :)

I keep wondering if I should get a pair of those salt water sandals, any opinions on them??
I might as well buy that spiky gold bracelet from Stella & Dot since I keep using it in most of these pretend outfits. Loving the Zara bag, so very pretty with clean lines.

creative attempt

4.17.2012

This Saturday I, of course, had work and then went out with some friends. It was really fun and much needed. So, I didn't get a chance to take a picture of my attempts at being creative. That striped skirt is actually a dress! It's my first time trying to do that and I think it was a success! I also wore it with black tights, cause up here in Oregon it's still pretty chilly some days.

outfit details
cardigan: Forever 21
top: Gap (still available)
belt: Loft
pretend skirt/dress: Banana Republic Outlet
boots: Dillard's

Hope all of you are having a good week!

This week is all about pastels and I'm kind of loving them at the moment.
I think lavender is becoming my new favorite.
pretty in pastels

Can I just say that the white coral necklace is amazing! Love it and may possibly need it!
You can find it here

stranger

4.10.2012

The other day, while at work, this lady came in and I just really liked her outfit.
So, I thought I would recreate it on polyvore in my own way.

spring time

A blazer and espadrilles...never really thought to pair them together, but I think it's pretty great.
It also seems like a perfect Spring outfit for Portland, since it can sometimes still be chilly but you want to ditch the boots.

ps I'm loving the kelly green bag! So pretty!

flower power

This week's Friday's Fancies we're focusing on flowers, which has got me excited for some nice weather. I'm a big fan of floral dresses and I actually purchased the exact one above from American Eagle. The print is so pretty in person and it has pockets, always a plus in my book!

Check out long distance loving for everyone's Friday's Fancies!
Have a great weekend!

cobalt blue

So I actually took outfit pictures on Sunday after work. If it suddenly snows, I guess you can blame me. (although it would probably be more surprising if it was sunny and warm.) I'm pretty sure I jinxed my hometown too. I had been talking that night how at home it rarely ever hails, other parts of Texas get far more of it. I called my parents maybe an hour later and they were having the worst hail storm they've had in probably a decade, maybe more. It actually looked like it had snowed!

Anyway, today is my day off and I am pretty much just spending the day at home which is much needed. Hope all of you are having a great week!

outfit details
scarf: gift
blazer, top, & pants: Gap
purse: mark.
boots: Guess via DSW

ps Sorry my outfit pictures aren't great, I'm a bit out of practice.
