stella & dot

If you happen to notice the Stella & Dot picture on the right --------------->
that would be no coincidence. I thought I'd put a little plug in for my mom!
My mom started selling Stella & Dot jewelry a couple of months ago.
(she actually makes and sells her own jewelry too,
but she still needs to send it all to me so I can take pictures for her Etsy shop.)
Anyway, they have some really amazing stuff and just in time for Valentine's day!
Here are some of my favorites:
alexandria necklace
chantilly lace earrings and cuff
on the mark and ever after necklaces
essential ball studs
There's so much more on the website! Take a look here, if you get the chance.
Hope all of you have a great week!

fill in the blank friday

Hi everyone! It's Friday! And it's actually sunny outside here in Oregon.
(does anyone else think that January is just going by so fast!)
From my trip to Santorini, Greece
1.   My favorite place i've ever traveled to is     probably Italy and Greece, although I enjoyed visiting every place I've been to.

2.    Switzerland (but technically everywhere)     is somewhere I'd love to go someday.

3.  I pass the time on a plane (or bus, or car ride or train) by     listening to music and trying to take a nap     .

4.  My three must-haves when I travel are     my iTouch    ,    magazines   and     a book  .

5.  My favorite travel companion is    a really great friend.

6.  The craziest thing that ever happened to me while traveling is    when I took the night bus from Thessaloniki, Greece to Istanbul, Turkey. First of all, we had to buy a visa (which we didn't realize). So there we were, 4 American girls and a Canadian couple taken to some building trying to buy a visa to get into the country. Then on our way back (night bus again), they had to check our passports and our visas to be studying in Greece were about to expire, so we had to wait at that checkpoint for about an hour on the border between Greece and Turkey at 3 am. It was a lot of craziness.

7.  The most exotic food I've ever tried while traveling is    a seafood paella in Barcelona. It had squid and other chewy seafood. Never again.

8.  If I could live anywhere else, I'd live in    Europe, definitely.

9.  I have been to    eleven  states in the U.S.

snail mail

Sometimes it's really nice to get stuff in mail (with the exception of bills).  This week I got such a cute card in the mail from Anthropologie, so I just had to share.

Looks like I'll be buying something from Anthropologie in February!

anthropologie wish list

I am definitely getting those candles! They smell soooo good.
(Plus they are a lot cheaper than everything else I want)

On a different note, I actually have an interview next week (crossing my fingers that I get the job), I have plans to visit Vancouver BC, and at the end of the month will be my birthday (February 27th)! It feels like February is going to be a good month.

I always wondered who won all the giveaways that bloggers host. Actually, I wonder who wins any sweepstakes or giveaways that are in the world. Anyway, this past Sunday I had an email from Elizabeth of Delightfully Tacky saying that I won the ShoeMint giveaway! It was pretty much amazing, since I haven't won anything, ever.
via ShoeMint facebook page
I had a hard time deciding what pair I really wanted, although it was pretty easy to narrow it down. I'm not much of a heels girl, so even the thought of the 6 inch ones (they have a 2 inch hidden platform) would make me topple over. I'm only 5 ft tall, so adding 6 inches to me would feel like I was on stilts. In the end, I picked...

the Janice in Black.

I'm pretty excited to receive them! I'll have a whole post about them to let you all know how they work out.
A big thanks to Elizabeth for having the giveaway!

staying in

staying in by danica-nicole featuring flannel sleepwear

I've been staying in a lot lately, it comes with the territory of being unemployed and not wanting to spend any money. I like to stay in my pajamas or comfy clothes mainly because of this...

I also tend to start watching an entire series of a tv show just because I have time. This weekend I started watching The Big Bang Theory, which is pretty great by the way.
Hope all of you had a fantastic weekend!

unemployed boredom

Yep that's right people I'm pretty bored. Actually, I 've been entertaining myself with old episodes of How I Met Your Mother, which isn't that boring. And SOPA/PIPA thing is totally ruining my daily job hunting, specifically on Craigslist. Thanks a lot. Not that I really want to job hunt at all, it's pretty depressing and ultimately every job description is just ridiculous.

Anyway, enough of that. Sam from Sam in Real Life tagged me in this little quiz thing.

6.  Ice or no ice in your drink?
Doesn't matter much to me.

Hot cheetos
9.  If you had to choose between having perfect health for the rest of your life or having an unlimited supply of money, which would you choose?

snow globe

It's been snowing off and on for a couple of days now. It looks so pretty and like someone just shook up a snow globe. Now if only it would stick and make everything look like a snow covered wonderland.

So I want to start an Oregon bucket list, such as trying out snowshoeing, going to a winery, or something really simple as a great restaurant to try. I guess this would also include trips to Seattle and Vancouver B.C., so it's more of a NW bucket list with an emphasis on Oregon. haha.
Any people in the NW have ideas for this list??

my day in instagram photos

My breakfast. Toast with cinnamon sugar butter, banana, and vanilla chai tea.

A new scent for my apartment.

Lunch time!

My favorite drink at Starbucks is a Vanilla Rooibos tea latte. Yum.

 A Target find!
(They have some super cute new stuff by the way)

Hope all of you had a great day!

ps Someone please watch the HIMYM bloopers.  It's hilarious.

I'm looking for some fitness/health motivation, even started a new board on Pinterest for it.
I desperately need to start working out again and eating healthier, such as having the green monster smoothies (which are delicious by the way).  I've been looking at the and the Nike training app, have any of you tried either? What helps you stay motivated??

I think I like it and it might be a great way to display lots of my photos
without putting a bunch of holes in the wall.

Guess where this is???
If you guessed my apartment, you would be correct!
For Christmas, I finally got some furniture. I'll definitely be showing all of furniture I got in the coming days. I haven't really decorated, but having something to actually sit on is amazing!

Hope all of you had a great New Year's eve and that 2012 is a super fantastic year!
